ROYAL PORTHCAWL -  30th Match
Founders Trophy - Medal Day 1

STUNNING. SUPERB. FANTASTIC. RIDICULOUS. HISTORIC. HYSTERICAL. EXTORTIOATE.

Just some of the terms that were heard to describe the course, the weather, Tim “Killer” Kilby’s performance and the price of short white socks!

A fantastic day was had by most with “Killer” murdering a championship course and taking home the spoils, at the front of a field of 27, with an incredible net 64.

Those who witnessed his round and in particular his putting performance, used most of the expressions above and a few more that cannot be printed. Well done Tim, and you can kiss goodbye to those double shots (5 x 4 pointers, certainly helps the scoring) once “Hatchet Hammond” has finished with your handicap.

Finishing in second with a more realistic 73 was Matt Sailes, followed by Ian Brazier (74) and Mike “Sumo” Ciric (75).

Long drive was Andy Price (hard to believe but true) and nearest the pin Vic Hammond.
